Neighbourhood Information – Green Space Festival 2018

Each year during the final weekend of Pride, The 519 hosts the Green Space Festival (GSF) featuring a series of signature events held at the Barbara Hall Park, in addition to other Pride month events. The Festival is a major fundraising activity for The 519 and all funds raised through these events support our year-round community programs, services, and free, accessible space at The 519. The Festival and other activities held during this month have many positive impacts for our local neighbourhood and businesses, and we are excited to host the 10th anniversary edition this year. .

Thanks to the support, feedback, and advice from our neighbours, Councillor Wong-Tam, the Church-Wellesley Neighbourhood Association, and the Church-Wellesley BIA, we implemented many initiatives in 2017 to make our operations conducive to the neighbourhood, including sound mitigation, traffic flow management, pedestrian safety, park maintenance, and communication.
