About the Guest Speaker:

Evelyn (she/her) has been a foster parent for over a decade in Ajax, Ontario. She is a cisgender woman of Jamaican Canadian descent who is an ally to the 2SLGBTQ+ community. For 13 years, Evelyn has seen children and youth flourish in her care. Each of them is seen as individuals and seeing their uniqueness in which Evelyn nurtures. Coming to Canada at a young age, Evelyn grew up to be open-minded and acceptive of others, which has helped her to guide those in care.
