Pride is, and always will be, a protest centred around the rights of 2SLGBTQ+ people to be who they are, and love who they love. Love is central to Pride – and to the work of The 519. 

Love is at the core of what The 519 does, every single day – we show love to our community, and to the people who walk through our doors 

The 519 is made up of an Army of Lovers – staff, supporters, volunteers, and the members of our community who access our work each day. Our Army of Lovers is at the centre of the fight for 2SLGBTQ+ rights and freedoms, and at the frontlines of the fight against inequality and injustice 

This Pride, we’re asking you to step up and LOVE THE LOVERS. 

We need to love louder than the hate – your love and support will help us push back against funding cuts, anti-2SLGBTQ+ sentiment, and the economic and mental health crises being faced by the people we serve. These folks are uniquely vulnerable due to their intersecting identities – and our essential work supports them year-round.  

Love the lovers – help to arm our lovers to continue our fight during Pride, and year-round.
