A Celebration of Neighbourhood Power in Downtown Toronto for Community Partners
“Existence is a web of relationships. What you do to the land, to the animals, to the water, you do to yourself.”– Leroy Little Bear
Community workers, organizers, and leaders based out of Downtown Toronto are invited to join us!
The first ever Downtown Resiliencefest is a day that gives us permission to recalibrate and celebrate local support systems. Take part in a mix of activities offering learning, storytelling, and co-creation as we seek rebalance between priorities of systems change and stewardship within our spaces. See full agenda below.
Strengthen connections to diverse and Indigenous ways of knowing as we explore how they relate to our collective wellbeing, healing, and recovery from overlapping economic and ecological crises in the neighbourhoods we work in.
We will not just connect the dots between services and spaces, but also spend time tuning our community senses.
Participants are invited to be part of a conversation – not as consumers of content, but as co-sense makers, willing to unlearn and to reweave understandings of resilience and being in community.
