In the spirit of Toronto Public Service (TPS) week, a chance to champion and celebrate great work across the City of Toronto, the Toronto Pride Network is thrilled to invite you to Leaders in Drag, a bold, joyful, and unforgettable event celebrating authenticity, allyship, and the vibrant diversity of 2SLGBTQ+ communities.

In partnership with The 519, this event will bring together leaders and staff for a day of storytelling, learning, laughter, and community building. Through a panel discussion with leaders, City staff and drag queens, we’ll explore how each of us can help create workplaces where everyone feels seen, valued, and empowered to be their authentic selves.

And yes… there will be glamour.

Prepare for a reveal you won’t want to miss. Two well-known City leaders are embracing the transformative art of drag as they:

  • Serve face
  • Own the runway
  • Share their drag transformation journey
  • Champion conversations about inclusion, equity, belonging, and leadership

What to Expect

Your ticket includes a delicious lunch prepared by The 519. Proceeds will support The 519’s ongoing work advancing equity, justice, community, and belonging for 2SLGBTQ+ people across Toronto. Make it a team experience – there’s an option to purchase a table for you and your colleagues.

Dress Code: Dress to impress! Bring your sparkle, your colour, your style, or whatever makes you feel most like you. We encourage everyone to celebrate self-expression in a way that feels authentic and comfortable.

Food and Refreshments: Lunch and refreshments are included. Please share any dietary requirements during registration.

Accessibility: The 519 is a wheelchair-accessible venue. Please share any accessibility needs during registration.

Charitable Tax Receipts:
Your registration for TPS Leaders in Drag helps raise funds for The 519. For each $40 registration, $25 is considered a donation. For each $320 registration, $200 is considered a donation. If you add an additional donation to your registration, your charitable tax receipt will also include the full amount of the donation. You will receive a charitable tax receipt via email as a link to a PDF after the event.
