Inviting BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People of Color) 2SLGBTQ+ folks for a muiltiday kung fu self-defense classes. These practical sessions are based in Wing Chun kung-fu to be able to overcome larger opponents. A great way to build community and empowerment.

Facilitated by Sifu Sze-Yang (@seeyinandyang) is a queer Asian non-binary martial art’s master (Sifu) with 30+ years of martial arts experience. Their school @likewaterwingchun – is a practical martial arts school based in Wing Chun Kung Fu thats 2SLGBTQ+, BIPOC, & Body positive

What to Expect: Classes will start with a guided multidisciplinary warm-up drawing from dance, and acrobatics, followed by strengthening and alignment of the body. The previous will prepare you to understand spatial awareness and will support you to throw and land a punch, a kick, and counter incoming offensive movements.  A great somatic practice to improve mental health, wellbeing, and confidence.

Note: There will be guided hand-to-hand contact with other participants during the class. Please wear clothing you are comfortable moving in.
