Generations for Climate Justice (GCJ) is a free program that connects 2SLGBTQ+ youth (ages 10 to 18) and 2SLGBTQ+ older adults (ages 50+) to build impactful intergenerational relationships and foster collaboration on climate justice projects.
Program Highlights:
- Learn through advocacy, storytelling and community
- Earn volunteer hours and references
- Build relationships through the generations
- Take part in a climate advocacy project
When: First and Third Tuesdays, from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Join Generations for Climate Justice’s discussion for 2SLGBTQ+ youth (10 to 18 years) and older adults (50+ years) to share ideas on responding to extreme heat and weather-related emergencies in the Downtown East.

This program is designed to evolve gradually over the course of a year, with a stronger emphasis on education, advocacy, storytelling and community building.
Currently, GCJ consists of several key areas of focus including:
- Eco education projects
- Climate advocacy projects
- Nature education
- Climate change storytelling
- Emerging situations conversation circles
- Special projects and activities that span both generations
