Growing up a queer kid in Alberta, I always dreamed of moving to the beautiful queer city of Toronto! What I naively did not know at the time was the role The 519 has played in putting Toronto on the map as a special place for the queer community.

The 519 has been working with our communities for 50 years to meet their needs and address systemic issues through programming, services, and advocacy. As a board member, I feel very lucky to be able to support The 519 in all that it does to ensure everyone in our community can feel free to be authentic, supported, and loved.
