Tempo Chorus is the soundtrack of Toronto’s queer community – an auditioned tenor-bass (TTBB) choir that meets weekly to rehearse and share our love of music. Our repertoire leans into pop & show tunes, and you can click here if you’d like to know when our next vocal assessments take place. Rehearsals run 7:00 to 9:30pm weekly on Wednesday (in season).

Tempo is a fun, welcoming choir for 2SLGBTQIA+ singers whose range sits anywhere from tenor to bass. We rehearse under the artistic direction of Doug Hammond, a seasoned conductor, with accompaniment by the talented Daniel Lau.

Our vision is to be a leading queer Canadian choral group known for musical excellence, fun, inclusivity, and community engagement. Everything we do in rehearsal, from vocal technique to running our repertoire, serves our mission: to unite queer voices in harmony and deliver high-quality performances that enrich lives and add to the cultural fabric of Toronto and our 2SLGBTQIA+ community.
