Trans Day of Remembrance (TDOR)

The 519 commemorates the 26th anniversary of the Trans Day of Remembrance (TDoR). Join us to honour the lives of the 2 Spirit, trans, and non-binary siblings we have lost to transphobia, hate crimes, illness, substance use, suicide, misogyny, institutional and legislative violence, and murder.

This year’s theme for The 519’s TDoR event is “This is who we are.” It represents self-determination, dignity, and community. Only we define ourselves.

We remember our lost friends, neighbours, colleagues, family, lovers, and comrades.  In our grief, in our rage, in our organizing, and in our remembering and honouring, we inspire change, solidarity, safety, hope and joy for the lives and rights of all 2 Spirit, trans, non-binary, and gender-diverse people.
