NOTICE To support the City of Toronto’s COVID-19 containment strategies, and promote community health and safety, The 519 is suspending the Tax Clinic in-person walk-in and drop-off services for the foreseeable future.  

We are only able to help on a best effort basis, but will do our best to try and provide assistance if possible.

he 519 Tax Clinic is for eligible LGBTQ2S folks/families with earnings under $40,000, and who need help to prepare their income tax and benefit returns. Please note the Tax Clinic is run by volunteers and the amount of community members we can assist depends on the number of volunteers we have per session.

Days and Times

The 519 Tax Clinic provides drop-in and/or drop off income tax services during March
and April on:

  • Tuesdays, From 6pm onward
  • Saturdays, From 11am onward

Please bring with you the relevant documents identified below:

Required Identification

  • Photo ID
  • Social Insurance Number (SIN)

Required Income Slips

  • T4 (employment earnings)
  • T4A (pension, retirement, annuity,
  • other income)
  • T4A(OAS) (Old Age Security)
  • T4A(P) (Canada Pension Plan)
  • T4E (Employment Insurance)
  • T5007 (social assistance, WSB)
  • T4RSP (RRSP income)
  • Last year’s notice of assessment, if available
  • Banking information for direct deposit

Required Deduction Information

  • Spouse’s information (date of birth and SIN)
  • Dependents’ name(s), date(s) of birth, and income(s)
  • RRSP contributions
  • Child care receipts
  • T220A (tuition receipts)
  • Medical receipts
  • Charitable donation receipts
  • Rent receipts
