Committee Volunteers

Title: Community Outreach Committee

Purpose
  To provide input into the content and quality of 519 outreach campaigns and information tables at community events and fairs.

Qualifications
· Awareness of community issues and events
· Familiarity with The 519 and its mission and values
· Knowledge of community outreach and promotion
· Creativity
· Decorating skills an asset

Responsibilities
· Attend meetings of the committee on a monthly or bimonthly basis.
· Contribute to the ongoing improvement of 519 information tables and presence in the community.
· Provide feedback to The 519 regarding its information tables/booths.
· Provide training to 519 staff regarding changes to the presentation and setup of 519 information tables/booths

Orientation/Training
  Committee members will be oriented to the group by the Volunteer Coordinator and/or other committee members.

  Training will be made available according to the needs of the group and available funding through The 519 Volunteer Programme.

Hours
  Volunteers commit to a monthly 2-3-hour shift.

Commitment
 
A minimum of 1 year.

Supervisor
  The Volunteer Coordinator supervises committee volunteers.
