The LGBT Community
Police Consultative Committee is made up of ten individuals nominated
by community groups and elected by a community meeting. The Committee
advocates for the LGBT communities with the Toronto Police on issues
affecting policing of the community. The committee works to educate,
sensitize, raise awareness and promote dialogue with the police. The
Committee works toward real and lasting improvements in the policing
of the LGBT community.
