The 519 provides community members with access to clothing on an as-needed basis as well as through reoccurring Free Clothing Markets that take place in collaboration with 519 programs (i.e. Sunday Drop-In, Meal Trans, Older LGBTQ Drop-In, Among Friends Refugee Support Group, EarlyON Child and Family Centre, ESL Classes, Fuel: Physical Activity Program) as well as one-off events that are open to the broader community (Trans Community Clothing Exchange, Winter Clothing Drive for LGBTQ Newcomers and Refugees).

We accept clothing donation on an ongoing basis. Please ensure that all donations are clean, gently used or new, and are in good condition.

For donations occupying the space of 2 garbage bags or less:

  • bring to the Front Desk at The 519 from 10am-7pm on weekdays
  • no need to call or email in advance
  • if you are unable to make it during these times, please contact Julie at JHamara@The519.org to arrange alternate drop off times

For donations occupying the space of 2 garbage bags or more:

  • contact Julie at JHamara@The519.org to arrange a suitable time
  • ideally, for larger donations, please bring donations within a week of listed Free Clothing Markets
