Positively Parenting

Description:
 A working group creating communities where HIV positive LGBT parents, prospective parents, and their families can thrive. It is committed to community building and advocacy. It aims to address isolation, stigma and misconceptions about being HIV positive; being lesbian, gay, bisexual or trans; and parenting. The working group does so by: providing access to accurate information, creating connections to resources, and educating our communities. This is a joint project of: Queer Parenting Programmes at The 519, The LGBT Parenting Network, The Positive Pregnancy Programme and Voices of Positive Women. TRUE COLOURS Tour visits Toronto!


The 519 thanks True Colors Tour 2008 and EGALE for a great night of community celebration, amazing performances, and their support to the Centre. The Tour exemplifies so many of our shared principles, including valuing diversity and the commitment to making the world a more tolerant and accepting place. Thank-you to Cyndi Lauper and all the other stars whose commitment to creating positive change is an inspiration for all of us.
