"We sing together, and we sing out."

Singing Out is Toronto’s LGBTQ Community Chorus. The choir promotes pride in musical excellence, and fosters a positive image of common goals of belonging, unity, and empowerment.

Singing Out is a mixed-voice, non-auditioned chorus – a relative rarity in LGBTQ communities across North America.  They create a warm and welcoming space where everyone who enjoys singing and learning can find a place to belong and have fun. The choir welcomes different levels of experience, as well as diverse backgrounds and identities.

The choir covers genres from the sacred to the silly, in many different styles (pop, showtunes, classical, folk, jazz) and languages. Auditions are not required to join the Singing Out, although some “voicing” may be necessary to determine which section (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Baritone or Bass) best fits your vocal range.
