Our Creating Authentic Spaces toolkit and education program is part of our efforts to challenge transphobia and to foster environments that are inclusive of gender identity and gender expression. Our toolkit and workshops explore the experiences and challenges faced by trans people and supports organizations and individuals to develop approaches to fostering a trans inclusive environment. The toolkit and workshops also highlights the small and larger steps they can take personally and within their organizations to create more inclusive spaces and services for trans people.

Still Here, Still Queer - A Handbook for Affirming LGBTQ2S Older Adults

Still Here, Still Queer is part of our efforts to foster environments for older adults that are inclusive of sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression.

This handbook supports fostering affirming spaces and services for lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer, and 2-spirit (LGBTQ2S) older adults and presents best practice recommendations for the inclusion of LGBTQ2S older adults through the use of case studies and educational resources. It is informed by the lived experiences and organizing work of older LGBTQ2S communities and their allies.

Developed collaboratively with contributions from the Senior Pride Network, Buddies In Bad Times Theatre and True Davidson Acres long-term care home.

Discussing Trans and Gender Diverse People - Media Reference Guide and Tip Sheet

These documents provide a guideline for media, and outline how to share information and stories about trans and gender-diverse people in an accurate and respectful way. It also provides examples of disrespectful and dehumanizing language that should be avoided. Developed in partnership with Rainbow Health Ontario.
